From 5pm-12am tonight, Victory Brewing Company will be celebrating the anniversary of one of the greatest victories in American history tonight -- the repeal of Prohibition. Victory will bring the roaring twenties back to life here in Philly and bootleggers-at-heart can unite and practice their legal right to have a cold one. But there’s one catch. In true Speakeasy fashion, the event will be thrown in a top-secret location. To attend you’ll need to piece together the clues found on Victory’s Twitter and Facebook pages. End of Prohibition Anniversary Celebration @ McGillin's April 07, 2010 - McGillin's Olde Ale House, 1310 Drury St, Phila

Celebrating the 77th anniversary of the "beginning of the end" of Prohibition and McGillin's 150th anniversary with a massive party. On this date in 1933, bars were permitted to start selling 3.2 beer. Ma McGillin symbolically re-opened the bar's liquor cabinet, put away the "tea" cups and brought out the beer mugs! In 2010, we'll roll back our prices, wear historic costumes, and dedicate a plaque marking our anniversary. And, boy oh boy, will we bring out the beer mugs! Don't miss this historical event!
