From 5pm-12am tonight, Victory Brewing Company will be celebrating the anniversary of one of the greatest victories in American history tonight -- the repeal of Prohibition. Victory will bring the roaring twenties back to life here in Philly and bootleggers-at-heart can unite and practice their legal right to have a cold one. But there’s one catch. In true Speakeasy fashion, the event will be thrown in a top-secret location. To attend you’ll need to piece together the clues found on Victory’s Twitter and Facebook pages. Celebrating the 77th anniversary of the "beginning of the end" of Prohibition and McGillin's 150th anniversary with a massive party. On this date in 1933, bars were permitted to start selling 3.2 beer. Ma McGillin symbolically re-opened the bar's liquor cabinet, put away the "tea" cups and brought out the beer mugs! In 2010, we'll roll back our prices, wear historic costumes, and dedicate a plaque marking our anniversary. And, boy oh boy, will we bring out the beer mugs! Don't miss this historical event!
